Crocodiles
Today James & I visited the zoo with friends. I forgot to take pictures, but right before we left, Jamie wanted to make a video. Here it is.

This morning, while I was washing dishes, I started catching a whiff of something really stinky. After searching around for a bit, I remembered THE FLOWER.
For as long as I can remember, my mom has had three little succulents in the window over her kitchen sink. Earlier this year, I discovered a few tiny McCoy flower pots, so I snagged starts of my mom’s plants & put them in my window as well.
I had forgotten that one of plants has this large, spotted, amazing-looking flower. It is also incredibly stinky. My mom always told me that it was stinky to attract animals in the desert. Perhaps? Anyway, just imagine yourself in the small primate house at the zoo, & you’re pretty much standing at my sink right now.

Today I took the boys to the zoo with our friends, the Carrs. We hung out there for a while, & saw the baby elephant. I kept hearing how cute the baby elephant was, & I imagined it probably was, but I just wasn’t buying into the hype. But I gotta say that she is extremely cute. It really is just the way she behaves. She runs around, falls down, trips over her trunk, loses her balance, & really just has a lot of fun. All the while her mom just watches her like, “What did I get myself into?”
I didn’t take any pictures of baby Zuri, because I am not a crowd-fighting photog. There were alot of people there. I also don’t have any pictures of our friends (don’t really have an excuse for that one). I just clicked a few of the boys on the carousel. Rees was really pumped to sit in the peacock, but ended up changing his mind & going for the giraffe when the ride started. Jamie chose the lion right away & stuck with it.

James & I spent the afternoon @ the zoo with friends. In the pictures below, you’ll see Jamie’s “twin”, Quinn. Quinn is about six months older than Jamie, but it is like the same little personality in two bodies. I’ll be talking to Cashell about something James said or did, & it always just-so-happens that Quinn said or did the same thing. And when they play together, it is freaky. They have the same mannerisms, say the same phrases, make the same faces, have the same attitude. Hilarious.

Today we spent the day @ the zoo. It was a little colder than I had anticipated, & I wasn’t much in the mood for taking pictures. We still had a good time, & I did manage to capture this cute one of Jamie & the elephants.

I woke up this morning with a sore throat. I was in denial, and soldiered on to the zoo with the kids. It was fun, as usual (we have a membership). James is so cute, and gets so excited about every animal. “LOOK MOM! A (insert whatever animal we’re viewing)! RIGHT THERE!!!!!!”
We rented a wagon for the first time, which was great because the kids could climb in and out easily. It was also a huge workout for me, due to the hilliness of the zoo. I had to make Rees get out and climb the last hill to the exit. I was exhausted by the time we got home.
In the evening the boys went to Mutual with Bryan, where they shot rockets with the YM.
